Rejection

I’ve had to learn the hard way that rejection is actually God’s way of protecting me. You see, God has a special way of saving His children for the very best. He understands what is good for you and what is not. God wants to protect you from the hurt and pain, but at times because of our stubborn human nature, we go against His will.

At times we may even question God not understanding that He is in charge. He is the author and the creator of our lives therefore we have no right to question Him. God does not require any help when it comes to making decisions for our lives, but what He does require is for us to be patient and keep trusting in Him.

Sometimes I found myself even getting annoyed with God when things didn’t go my way and I didn’t get what my heart desired. I grew up having this, “I want what I want when I want it mentality,” which is wrong on so many levels. God has truly humbled me and I’m so grateful to Him because I had to stop and ask myself, “who am I to question God and His authority?! God has the power to stop me from seeing another day if He wanted to, so rather than focusing on my selfish desires, let me focus on getting right with my father in heaven.”

As children of God we all have different paths to follow and very different purposes. What God requires of Sister so and so, He may not require of you. Please understand that what is for you is for YOU! Nobody on this earth can take away what God has for you because it is destined for you. Give God your full attention and seek him with your whole heart.

Psalms 118:22 NLT

‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

Psalms 139:1-17 NLT

‘O lord , you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, lord . You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you. You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!’

1 Peter 5:6-7 NLT

‘So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.’

I pray that this post encourages someone.

With love,
