Brilliance In Blogging Awards 2018

I am so grateful to be a finalist in one of the most prestigious awards ever! Becoming a mother to my small Madam; Isabella-Grace has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. You inspire me to me better than I was yesterday. Thank you for being such a bright spark, for having such a vibrant personality and for giving me back my purpose. You are so full of love, happiness and light..I love you little Mama. The Resilient Mum has opened up so many doors for me and I am so humbled by all of the amazing feedback and recognition I receive. I am thankful to God for giving me this platform to share some of my story whilst enabling me to help others in a similar situation to me.

For those of you who do not know, I founded The Resilient Mum in 2015 before I had my daughter. I was inspired by God and my daughter to reach out and help other Independent Mothers. I remember searching the internet trying to find blogs about other Independent Mothers and I didn't really find much. After creating The Resilient Mum,  I later stumbled upon the wonderful Lucy Good, founder of Beanstalk Single Mums. She has a fantastic website and I love everything that she is about, so please do check her out if you can!

Originally when I started The Resilient Mum I had no idea the impact I would have on other Independent Mothers or the world of social media. I just started it because I was instructed to and I wanted to uplift and inspire others, I felt there was a need and I wanted to help to fill it. It's only when I started to receive such heartwarming messages, comments and emails from others that I started to realise that what I was doing was having this effect.

There have been times where I have gone through things myself and I have felt like just stopping everything I am doing, but then God reminded me why I started in the first place and why He told me to do this. For the past year Bella and I have been fighting a big battle which has sometimes made me feel so down and drained, but in God I trust. I know that once it is all over we will come out on top because I trust and believe that God is already working things out. My daughter and God have always been my biggest inspirations, God gave me this vision and I carried it through, so for me to just quit is not an option.

I never want another Independent Mother to feel alone or to feel as if she has nobody to turn to. I am always here to help and that is what I plan to do. My inbox is always open, my DMs are always open, I am on Instagram: @theresilientmum Facebook: The Resilient Mum, Twitter: @theresilientmum. I also operate two Facebook groups depending on your preference: The Christian Independent Mama Society and The Independent Mama Society. So please, please reach out to me if you need some assistance.

I have big plans for The Resilient Mum, some have taken a lot longer to execute due to a number of different things, but I know that when the time is right everything shall fall into place! I am very excited to reveal some of them to you all, I strongly feel that they are needed in the Independent Mother community.

With that said, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your love, kind words and continuous support. Thank you for believing in my vision and for supporting The Resilient Mum!
