Pursue Your Purpose

Roxanne-Sasha, The Resilient Mum looking at the camera.

Hey Mamas,

I hope you are all well! Happy New Year to each and every one of you. It has been a very long time since I have been particularly active on my social media accounts. I shall share more on this in my newsletter (be sure to sign up here so you do not miss out!)

In the time that I was away, I was reflecting deeply on purpose and the calling that has been placed upon my life. I will not divulge too much here as I mentioned earlier because I intend to discuss this in my newsletter in greater depth. However, I feel that it is important for you to also recognise and understand your very own purpose. You were not created just to be..you were created to be much more than you can even imagine.

There are so many wonderful stories in the bible of characters who stepped up and pursued their purpose. There are also stories of characters who doubted themselves or decided to not pursue their calling until God intervened.

I reflect on the story of Jonah and the one of Jeremiah. Both had their reasons and their doubts, but did God give up on them?! No!

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. Then the Lord put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.” - Jeremiah 1:5-9.

Jeremiah doubted himself because he thought he was too young, he did not know what he would say or how he would deal with the task God had ordained upon him, but God told him, “be not afraid of their faces.” God was with Jeremiah throughout his assignment. God will be with you as you pursue your purpose. God is not going to leave you!

When God gives you a vision, He gives it to you with intent! Everything that God does has an intention and a purpose.

God will not call you if He did not already equip you!
God would not have chosen you if He did not think you were the woman for the task!

I need you to know today Mama that God has already assigned greatness to you and your name. Your gifts will make room for you. Your gifts will open up doors for you!

This year is the year for you to actively pursue your purpose and to step into who God called you to be.

You will hear more from me soon.

For now, I leave you with this popular passage in the bible:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” - Jeremiah 29:11-13.

With Love,

Roxanne-Sasha x
