Grow And Flourish

If we want to grow, we have to accept that changes may occur. Growth is not supposed to be easy, it may prove to be challenging, it may even cause you to have a few sleepless nights here and there, but in the end it will be okay. Staying in the exact same position as you were once in will have you doing the same things you have always been doing which will bring you the same results you have always received. It is time to elevate yourself, to grow and to blossom into what you are supposed to be.

Anyone in your life who is upset by your need to grow, need not be in your life in the first place. Those in your life should naturally wan to see you evolve into a better woman and mother. Jealousy is not allowed! Have no regrets, don’t feel like you owe anyone an explanation. You need to do what is best for you and it may mean that you have to say goodbye to old things and people but be prepared to accept new things and meet new people. We all have to walk down our very own path in life, along the way you may encounter some familiar faces which will make the journey more bearable, but even if you don’t the new faces you will eventually stumble upon may turn into lifelong friendships.

I used to resist change, I used to be so comfortable being the same way I always was and saying, “this is how I am, I can’t change.” When really, I could change, I just did not want to. I got used to being how I was and saw nothing wrong with it. I would not say that I was an awful person before, but I had some things that I needed to work on. I have to thank those special people in my life for pointing them out to me and helping me to realise that I had some work to do. In life those closest to you with good intentions usually tell you the truth about who you are and how you behave, but it is not to harm you, they tell you because they care about you and want the best for you.

If so many people around you are telling you the same thing whether it is good or bad, what does that mean to you? How does it make you feel?

I must admit, it may be a hard pill to swallow when someone tells you a few home truths, but when it comes from a place of love it should be respected. This person is telling you these things because they want to see you flourish. They want the best for you and that is real. I love people who love their people and want to see them shining bright. I am one of those people. I keep it real with those around me and I respect them for coming to me and discussing certain things with me in return. This is admirable because not many people do this, when they should.

As I have grown and matured, I am now fully self-aware of who I am, what I possess and what my purpose is. I don’t think that anyone can tell me anything about myself that I do not already know, and this is the result of years of getting to know myself. I had to start from the beginning, I had to really take the time out and look at who I was and who I was aspiring to become. I would like you to do the same with yourself. It is never too late to work on yourself, we are all a work in progress. NOBODY is perfect and nobody ever will be. We are all naturally flawed as human beings but trying to be better and trying to change is much better than sitting down and doing absolutely nothing.

Our lives are precious, so precious that we only get the one life to live. Once this life is over, we cannot go back and change anything, we cannot take back the words we said, we cannot fix mistakes or try to communicate with anyone. I encourage you to spend this time on earth establishing yourself and your purpose, working towards your goals and living a life that is pleasing to God. Stop focusing on what everyone else is doing and how far they are getting in life, the time and energy you are using to watch others could be spent on working on your own grass and building your own life.

It goes without saying that you will achieve all that you want to achieve in life, if you put the work in. I know that you are an empowered woman and an excellent mother, you want to be the best Independent Mother that you can be to your child(ren), so if it means starting from the beginning and working your way up you will do that because you want your child(ren) to be proud of you – and they will be. Keep working on yourself, I am confident that you will succeed in life.

With Love,

Roxanne-Sasha
